1. Appointment
This agreement is made between Madinatul Uloom Madrasa & Orphanage (hereafter referred to as “the Institution”) and:

The teacher is appointed as a Full-Time / Part-Time Teacher according to the terms and conditions described in this contract.
2. Nature of Employment
The teacher agrees to perform educational duties in accordance with the policies, mission, and Islamic values of the Institution.
Employment may include teaching in programmes such as:
- Noorani Qaida
- Nazira Qur’an
- Hifz-ul-Qur’an
- Tajweed
- Islamic studies
- Basic academic subjects (where applicable)
3. Roles and Responsibilities
The teacher agrees to:
- Conduct classes according to the approved curriculum.
- Supervise students during study and revision sessions.
- Monitor student progress, memorisation, and learning outcomes.
- Maintain discipline and Islamic manners among students.
- Participate in institutional meetings and activities when requested.
- Submit academic reports and records when required by the administration.
Teachers must serve as role models of Islamic character and professional conduct.
4. Working Hours
The teacher shall follow the official madrasa schedule and duty roster.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Classroom teaching.
- Hifz or Nazira supervision.
- Student revision and support sessions.
- Participation in congregational prayers with students.
- Academic planning, preparation, and reporting.
Teachers must maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
5. Salary and Benefits
The teacher will receive:

6. Leave Policy
Teachers may receive leave under the following conditions, in line with the Institution’s HR policies:
- Annual leave during official madrasa holidays.
- Casual leave with prior approval of the administration.
- Medical leave with appropriate documentation where required.
- Emergency leave in genuine and urgent circumstances.
All leave must be requested and approved by the administration.
7. Child Protection and Safeguarding
The teacher agrees to fully comply with the Institution’s:
- Child Protection Policy
- Student Discipline & Welfare Policy
- Teacher Code of Ethics & Safeguarding Policy
- Volunteer & Guest Teacher Policy (where applicable)
The teacher must never engage in any behaviour that harms students physically, emotionally, or psychologically, and must immediately report any safeguarding concerns.
8. Professional Conduct
The teacher agrees to:
- Maintain Islamic dress, manners, and behaviour.
- Treat all students with respect, fairness, and compassion.
- Avoid physical punishment or abusive language under all circumstances.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students.
- Protect the dignity, privacy, and safety of all children.
Violation of these standards may result in disciplinary action in accordance with institutional policies.
9. Confidentiality
Teachers must maintain confidentiality regarding:
- Student information and records.
- Institutional matters and internal decisions.
- Donor or sponsor information, where applicable.
Such information must not be disclosed to unauthorised persons without prior approval of the administration, except where legally required.
10. Disciplinary Action
If a teacher violates institutional policies or this contract, the madrasa may take disciplinary action including:
- Verbal warning.
- Written warning.
- Suspension from duties.
- Termination of employment.
Serious misconduct (including safeguarding violations, abuse, or fraud) may result in immediate termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
11. Termination of Contract
This contract may be terminated:
- By the teacher, with written notice in line with institutional HR policy.
- By the Institution, for valid reasons including misconduct, poor performance, or institutional restructuring/needs.
Reasonable notice should be provided whenever possible, except in cases of serious misconduct.
12. Policy Acknowledgment
Before joining the Institution, the teacher confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the following institutional policies (as applicable and updated):
- Internal Operational Policies (governance and HR framework).
- Teacher HR Policies (full-time / part-time).
- Child Protection Policy.
- Student Discipline & Welfare Policy.
- Teacher Code of Ethics & Safeguarding Policy.
- Volunteer & Guest Teacher Policy.
- Financial Transparency & Donation Management Policy.
The teacher agrees to follow these policies at all times and understands that non-compliance may affect their employment.
