Learning Objectivesশেখার লক্ষ্য

By the end of the Noorani Qaida stage, the student should be able to:

  • Recognize and correctly pronounce all Arabic letters in isolated form.

Syllabus Structure (Units 1–8)সিলেবাস কাঠামো (ইউনিট ১–৮)

This breakdown is designed for approximately 6–9 months of study, depending on student age and pace. Teachers may adjust weeks while keeping the unit order.

Unit 1: Individual Letters

Recognition and basic pronunciation of 29 Arabic letters.

  • Introduce letters in groups (e.g., throat letters, lips, tongue).
  • Practice pointing and naming: teacher points, students say the letter.
  • Daily drill of at least one full line of letters from the Qaida.
  • Minimum mastery: identify any letter randomly without hesitation.

Unit 2: Joining Letters (Initial, Medial, Final)

Understanding how letters change shape when joined in a word.

  • Show each letter in its four forms (isolated, initial, medial, final).
  • Practice joining 2-letter combinations (e.g., با، بو، بي).
  • Introduce 3-letter chains gradually, focusing on smooth eye tracking.
  • Mastery check: student can track and name letters inside a joined word.

Unit 3: Short Vowels (Harakaat)

Application of Fatha, Kasra, and Damma on simple letters and words.

  • Teach sound of each vowel on a set of letters (e.g., بَ، بِ، بُ).
  • Drill reading full lines from Qaida with mixed harakaat.
  • Introduce simple CVC words such as بَن، مُس، كِتَاب (from Qaida pages).
  • Mastery: student reads without spelling out letters one by one.

Unit 4: Tanween and Sukoon

Building fluency with nasal sounds and consonant-stopping patterns.

  • Explain the sound difference between فَ and فًا / فٍ / فٌ.
  • Practice words combining harakaat and tanween in short phrases.
  • Introduce sukoon on letters (e.g., أَبْ، مِنْ، عَبْدُ).
  • Mastery check: student can stop correctly on sukkoon without adding vowels.

Unit 5: Shaddah and Madd

Introducing doubled consonants and elongated vowels for proper Quranic rhythm.

  • Teach shaddah as double letters (e.g., رَبّ = رَبْ + بَ).
  • Practice words with one and two shaddahs in a line.
  • Introduce Madd letters (ا، و، ي) after matching vowels.
  • Mastery: student can hold Madd for 2 counts consistently where marked.

Unit 6: Mixed Practice (Words & Short Phrases)

Applying all rules together on realistic Quran-like words.

  • Daily mixed lines from Qaida sections with harakaat, sukoon, shaddah, and Madd.
  • Short 2–3 word phrases that appear commonly in the Quran.
  • Focus on smooth eye movement and consistent Makharij at a slow pace.
  • Correct common errors: extra vowels, dropped letters, and rushing Madd.

Unit 7: Initial Quranic Practice

Transition from Qaida pages to selected lines from the Mushaf.

  • Practice isolated ayat from short surahs (e.g., Al-Fatiha, Al-Ikhlas).
  • Student reads one line from Qaida, one line from Mushaf in the same lesson.
  • Emphasize respect for Mushaf handling and adab-ul-Qur'an.
  • Mastery: student can comfortably read short surahs without Qaida support.

Unit 8: Final Assessment & Consolidation

Confirming readiness for full Quran Nazira (Noorani Level 2).

  • Student reads selected pages from across the Qaida with minimal help.
  • Student reads a set of agreed short surahs directly from the Mushaf.
  • Teacher records strengths and weaknesses for the next teacher.
  • Formal promotion decision to Level 2 (Ampara & Practical Tajweed).
